About Me
I was a PAEMST finalist and a KSTA Science Teacher of the year.
My passion in science education is using engineering and hands on experiences to guide students toward discovery. Children are natural born engineers. Their curiosity can lead them to create to answer their questions which can lead to more questions. They have the ability they just need the opportunity!

I use lots of grouping of students and engineering strategies to solve a problem. I also have my students write about their experiences to explain what they discovered.
My hobbies include reading, gardening and canning my own food. I like to teach others to sew and create using upcycled materials. I love to spend time with my husband, sons and granddaughter cooking and camping.
