Looking for an opportunity to take science learning beyond the classroom? Blue Grass Community Foundation is offering Inside Out Education Field Trip Grants to help Kentucky schools visit Kentucky State Parks and Historic Sites.

Made possible through funding from the Kentucky State Parks Foundation, the program supports immersive field experiences that extend classroom learning and align with core curriculum objectives. For science educators, these visits can offer opportunities for students to explore ecosystems, observe geological features, investigate habitats, and connect classroom concepts to the world around them.

Grants are available to all K–12 schools in Kentucky, with awards of:

  • Up to $1,000 for a day trip

  • Up to $2,000 for an overnight experience

There is no application deadline. Grants will be awarded until the funding pool is exhausted for the year, so educators are encouraged to begin planning and apply while funding remains available.

Interested in bringing this opportunity to your students? Review the grant guidelines for application instructions and additional details.
